Vokoun
Tomáš Vokoun is a decorated Czech goaltender that has the 15th highest save percentage, in NHL history. Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur and Miikka Kiprusoff are among the goalies that Tomas has surpassed, in this category. During his career, Tomas played in 700 NHL games, amassing 51 career shutouts and an astounding 23 career assists. Additionally, he appeared in two NHL All-Star Games (2004, 2008) and played for five NHL teams including: Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals .
Tomas was a fixture for the Czech Republic in international competitions. He won gold medals in two World Championships and bronze medals at the 2006 Winter Olympics and 2004 World Cup of Hockey.
Tomas lives with his wife Dagmar and their two daughters. Tomas will be responsible for coaching the Academy’s goaltenders and will join Olli Jokinen as coach of the U16 AAA team in Fall 2017.
