Sheppard
Ray Sheppard is a Canadian born former NHL forward who was drafted by the Buffalo Sabers in the 3rd round as a 60th overall in 1984 NHL draft. After scoring 142 points for the Cornwall Royals in the OHL he move up to the NHL and played for the Sabers, Rangers, Red Wings, Sharks, Panthers & the Hurricanes. During his NHL career he scored a respectful 657 points in 817 games. He made the NHL Rookie team during his first season with the Sabers with 38 goals in 74 games.
He also represented Team Canada during his playing career which ended in 2001. After that Ray has been coaching Midget, Junior and Professional hockey for the past 10 years. Currently he resides in Boca Raton, FL with his family and is a Head Coach of the South Florida Hockey Academy U18 team.
