Olli Jokinen is one of the most successful European-born players in NHL history.  Drafted third overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 1997, Olli competed in more than 1200 NHL games, during his 19-year career. Olli has been a pivotal member of the Florida community, since the 2000-2001 NHL season. He captained the Florida Panthers over four seasons and is still their all-time leading scorer.

Olli represented Finland on several occasions including: four Olympics and 11 World Championships. Lauded as one of Finland’s most accomplished athletes, Olli has won three Olympic medals and World Junior gold. Additionally, Olli was the leading goal scorer at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.

Olli was selected to play in the 2002-2003 NHL All-Star Game, which was held in Florida. Olli brings a wealth of experience and success to the South Florida Hockey Academy and will begin coaching the U16 AAA team, in Fall 2017. Olli, his wife Katerina, and their three daughters, reside in Coral Springs.
